Zions Bancorporation Launches Benefits Communication Solutions for 8,200 Employees and 17,000 Retirees |
| |
NOVATO, CA (June 26, 2003) — Enwisen, Inc., the mid- to large-market leader for HR communication solutions, announced today the launch of the Zions Bancorporation Employee Resource Center and Benefits Help Desk. Zions Bancorporation is a premier financial services company with 8,200 employees and over 400 full-service banking offices throughout the western United States. |
| |
Financial services organizations like Zions focus on customer service as a hallmark of their businesses. These organizations also know the importance of delivering the same level of care to their employees that they offer customers each day. |
| |
“Zions has a rich, 130 year history, and we pride ourselves on being the employer of choice,” said Diana Andersen, VP of Benefits for Zions Bancorporation. “Our use of Enwisen is another way that we highlight our commitment to our employees.” |
| |
Financial services companies are also challenged with a highly diverse workforce, numerous locations, and 24-hour operations. Zions Bancorporation faced numerous challenges: |
| |
Considerable cost and employee strain from distributing paper versions of benefit plan documents, enrollment kits, policy manuals, and forms. |
Open enrollment demanded on-site employee orientations and HR staff time to travel to over 90 different locations. |
Zions staffed an internal service center, but had no formal way to track and report on employee issues. |
Servicing an ever-growing population of 17,000 retirees was nearly overwhelming. |
| |
Zions’ goals were to eliminate the enrollment kit distributed annually to employees, reduce the amount of time spent on open enrollment seminars, and automate the company’s internal service center. Zions selected Enwisen’s Employee Resource Center for personalized benefits communication, and Enwisen’s HR Service Center to automate issue tracking and reporting in its service center. The integrated knowledgebase and call tracking allows for seamless delivery through both employee self-service and the call center, resulting in fast, accurate, and consistent answers. |
| |
Enwisen kicked off Zions’ implementation on March 26, 2003. After collecting data from Zions, Enwisen configured both the Employee Resource Center and the Call Center in a short time period. The project allowed Zions to go live with their internal call center on June 1, 2003 with rollout to their employees shortly after. In less than two months, Zions has serviced over 2,000 calls through the HR Service Center and nearly 1,000 employees have used the Employee Resource Center to access their benefits information. |
| |
“We were highly impressed with the speed, professionalism and ease of this product launch,” said Andersen. “Enwisen provided full project management and implementation, including integration with our Ceridian benefits administration system. Enwisen really delivered on their commitments and exceeded our expectations.” |
| |
“Zions is proof that large companies can realize powerful returns on investment with an outsourced ASP strategy for HR communications. We expect this trend to accelerate.” said Wally Smith, CEO of Enwisen. |
| |
Many companies, like Zions, are finding that continued investment in HR technology is one of the best ways to control costs, create efficiencies, and achieve a real return on investment from their HR programs. By delivering more HR services online, encouraging self-service and automating administrative processes, companies get more value from their existing programs. Not only does this make HR more efficient, it also makes it more effective by refocusing on more strategic priorities. Moreover, enabling HR communications through the use of technology helps increase the perceived value of employee benefits, and keeps employees engaged and more satisfied with their work environment. |
